My father, Aaron Zweig, was a Sergeant in the 82nd AB, 508th PIR, I believe. He jumped on D-Day near St. Mer Ingles and near Nijmegan Bridge in Market Garden. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was seriously wounded on Christmas Day, 1944 near Vielsalm, Belgium. He was disabled for the remainder of his life, with a withered left arm and passed away in April, 1984, at the age of 71. He did live a very productive life, was married for 35 years and raised two children. Anybody have any knowledge of my Dad's activities, it would be appreciated to hear from you. |
