My father was Pvt. Glenn H. Ward, 82nd AB, 508 PIR, F Co. from October 1942 to KIA on January 30, 1945 near St. Vith during Battle of the Bulge. He was seriously wounded after jumping during the D-Day invasion and spent the summer/fall recuping in England. He volunteered for the pathfinders and saw action next in Dec. 1944 until he was killed. So many of his letters I read and reread tell the story. I'm looking to contact Daniel Coduys, a native of Belgium who is employed at the Regional Security office, American Embassy, Brussels. About 15 years ago he and his son did a very special thing for me in Belgium near where my father died. |
